NELLORE: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made 20 per cent additional arrangements for the Sri Vari Navaratri Brahmotsavams to ensure a comfortable darshan for devotees, TTD chief engineer B. Manoharam said on Saturday.

Addressing a media conference at the Ram Bagicha-2 Media Centre, he said the four Mada Streets had been decorated with colourful rangolis, stainless steel railings had been installed at Srivari Pushkarini and 120 additional mobile toilets had been provided.

A foot overbridge near Nandakam Rest House had eased traffic movement. Parking facilities at various locations in Tirupati would allow devotees to park their vehicles and travel to Tirumala by bus, helping reduce congestion on the hill.

TTD electrical superintending engineer S. Venkateswarlu said elaborate illumination arrangements had been made, with LED screens installed in Tirumala and Tirupati to enable devotees to watch the vehicle processions.

Electrical deputy engineer Chandrasekhar said special illuminations depicting Srinivasa Kalyanam, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam and the four yugas, installed opposite the temple, had drawn appreciation. He said staff had worked for three months on the decorations.

Officials said widened exit points along the Mada Streets would facilitate the smooth dispersal of devotees after the vehicle processions. TTD engineering teams were working to ensure that devotees faced no inconvenience during the festival.
