Tirupati-Raxaul Express Inaugurated, Boosts Connectivity
The train would strengthen connectivity between Tirupati and several northern states, benefiting pilgrims, students, businesspersons and other travellers: MP Dr M. Gurumurthy
TIRUPATI: The Tirupati-Raxaul Express (17433/17434) was inaugurated at Tirupati railway station on Monday, establishing a direct rail link between Tirupati and Raxaul in Bihar. MP Dr M. Gurumurthy, MLA Arani Srinivasulu and railway officials flagged off the inaugural service.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurumurthy said the train would strengthen connectivity between Tirupati and several northern states, benefiting pilgrims, students, businesspersons and other travellers.
Railway officials said the regularisation of the service would make travel more affordable, with fares lower than those of the special train operated earlier.
The train will cover about 2,795 km in nearly 59 hours, passing through Renigunta, Kadapa, Guntakal, Secunderabad, Bilaspur and Ranchi. Train No. 17433 will depart Tirupati every Monday at 8.15 am and reach Raxaul on Wednesday evening, while the return service, Train No. 17434, will leave Raxaul on Thursday and arrive in Tirupati on Saturday morning.
