Tirumala Hundi Collects ₹6.93 Crore on Thursday Ahead of a Long Weekend
The high daily collections have pushed up the monthly Hundi totals to record levels. July 2026 collections totaled to ₹140.28 crore, the second-highest monthly collection in TTD history, after ₹140.34 crore in August 2022. July 2022 recorded ₹139.46 crore, followed by ₹130.29 crore in May 2022 and ₹128.60 crore in March 2022.
Tirupati: With a heavy influx of pilgrims at Tirumala ahead of the long weekend, the Srivari Hundi received ₹6.93 crore on Thursday, the second-highest single-day collection in the history of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
The collection came a day before the long weekend began. On Friday, devotees waited for more than 20 hours before they could have Srivari darshan, with all compartments in the Vaikuntam queue complex full and the waiting lines extending towards Silathoranam.
Thursday’s collection is behind the ₹7.68 crore offerings on January 2, 2023 during the Vaikunta Ekadasi. It is also the seventh occasion on which the Hundi collection crossed ₹6 crore, with ₹6.45 crore received on April 1, 2018, ₹6.31 crore on October 23, 2022, ₹6.28 crore on July 26, 2018, ₹6.18 crore on July 4, 2022, and ₹6.12 crore on August 18, 2026.

With heavy influx of pilgrims continuing, temple authorities have suspended VIP break darshan on Sunday to enable more general devotees to have their darshan.
In a statement, TTD said the time allotted for the cancelled VIP break darshan will be utilized to provide darshan for general devotees.
The continuous inflow of pilgrims has put severe pressure on accommodation, queue management, and other services provided by the TTD. Though the temple body has made extensive arrangements for devotees, managing long waiting hours in the heat has become a major challenge.
Families with young children and elderly pilgrims are waiting for several hours before entering the queue complexes. Many pilgrims, who failed to secure accommodation, spent their day at Pilgrim Amenities Complexes, temporary shelters, parks and other open spaces across the hill town.
