Vijayawada:Ruling TD declared that its 47-day state-wide Intintiki Telugu Desam – 2026 outreach programme has been a “grand success,” with party leaders and cadres personally visiting 1,10,24,319 households, covering 81.11 per cent of the state’s 1,35,91,105 households.
The outreach programme, which concluded on Friday, had been launched to mark two years of the NDA coalition government. The party had undertaken the programme on the directive of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu under the supervision of TD national working president and Education minister Nara Lokesh.
Lokesh used technology to monitor progress of the party outreach programme from the booth to the state level, issuing directions wherever required.
The party said the Intintiki Telugu Desam had been aimed at meeting people face to face and explaining to them the state government’s welfare schemes, development works, infrastructure initiatives, and administrative reforms. The party also gathered feedback and grievances of people. Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, district and assembly constituency in-charges, cluster in-charges, and booth-level workers participated in the campaign.
According to the campaign organisers, the party crossed one-crore household visits within 40 days. On one of the days, 28,397 cadres party workers covered households under 19,405 booths. On August 8 alone, party workers visited 3,51,229 households, which the TDP described as a record.
The party highlighted its technology-backed monitoring system. Photographic evidence is available for about 82 per cent of the household visits, meaning visits to nearly eight out of every 10 visits are digitally verified. Details of each visit have been uploaded on the MyTDP app, enabling the party to track the Intintiki Telugu Desam – 2026 programme at the grassroots.
