SRM University-AP Launches AI-Integrated PG Courses
SRMU-AP vice-chancellor Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar said the Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA) had redesigned the programmes for the AI era with emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, research, hands-on training and technology-based applications.
Vijayawada: SRM University-AP, Amaravati, has launched AI-integrated M.Sc. Economics and M.Sc. Psychology programmes, marking the first such postgraduate courses introduced by the institution.
SRMU-AP vice-chancellor Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar said the Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA) had redesigned the programmes for the AI era with emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, research, hands-on training and technology-based applications.
He said scholarships and fee concessions of up to 100 per cent would be offered to eligible students.
Dr Boddu Srujana said the M.Sc. Economics programme combines economic theory with AI, data science and computational methods, offering specialisations in Finance and Data Science or Development and Policy.
Dr Ayesha Parveen Haroon said the Psychology programme focuses on AI-based applications in mental health, organisational and educational sectors. Flexible one-year and two-year tracks would be available for graduates from diverse academic streams, including engineering.
Dean Prof. Vishnupad said AI had been deeply embedded into the curriculum rather than being treated as an additional subject. He termed the launch a milestone for ESLA.
