SRM Tech Fest Brings Innovation And Collaboration to The Fore

VIJAYAWADA: Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP, Amaravati, said hackathons have evolved into holistic learning ecosystems that combine competition with knowledge exchange and industry exposure. He urged students to embrace emerging technologies and think beyond conventional boundaries.

The three-day X³ Tech Fest 2026, organised by the AWS Cloud Club at the university, brought together over 200 participants forming 40 teams from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other states. The event was held at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium and began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.

Designed as a continuous hackathon, the fest featured workshops, developer talks, robotics sessions, live prototype demonstrations and a tech expo. A prize pool of `3 lakh was announced to encourage innovation.

Cloud Club captain Arpan Pramanik said the fest aimed to promote collaboration and real-world problem-solving, with support from student organisers including Avantika Singh and Naman Pasricha. Faculty advisor Ajay Kumar Sahu highlighted the focus on artificial intelligence and robotics.

Chief guest Chand Gudi, CEO of Vyobotics, shared insights on entrepreneurship and global funding. Director (Communications) Pankaj Belwariar and Dean Prof. C. V. Tomy also emphasised the importance of such platforms in nurturing talent.
