VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh delivered an impressive performance at the India Skills Competition 2025–26, securing seven medals and highlighting its growing strength in the skilled workforce ecosystem. The national-level event was held in Greater Noida from March 29 to April 2 and saw participation from across the country in multiple technical trades.
Competing in nine trades, Team Andhra Pradesh demonstrated strong technical expertise and consistency, earning recognition for its performance.
Guntreddy Srinivas won the gold medal in Software Testing. Uppalapati Dwaraka Seshu secured silver in Aircraft Maintenance, while Shaik Johid Ali clinched silver in Intelligent Security Technology.
Ashish Katari won a bronze medal in Logistics and Freight Forwarding. Several participants also received Medallions of Excellence for high performance, including Akshaya Palani and Chandra Praveen in Industry 4.0, Vamsi Krishna Ganapavarapu in Car Painting, and Vinod Chakravarthi and Yaswanth Raghava in Landscape Gardening.
Ganesh Kumar, managing director and CEO of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, congratulated the winners and said the achievements reflected the discipline and dedication of the state’s youth. He also acknowledged the role of trainers and mentors in guiding the participants.
