Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Starts Free Tally With GST Training
Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust has launched a free 38-day Tally with GST course for 35 women, aiming to improve skills and livelihood opportunities.
The Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust has started a free 38-day Tally with GST training programme for women at the Meda Guest House in Puttaparthi of Satya Sai district from Sunday.
Canara Bank’s RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) is supporting the programme for which Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust has provided the computers required for the training. Thirty-five women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are participating in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, managing trustee R.J. Rathnakar emphasised the importance of equipping youth with practical skills that can open new pathways in their life. Providing them with opportunities, training, and the necessary resources is a collective responsibility, he maintained.
The managing trustee stressed on the need to support young people, particularly women, aspiring to progress in life. “This is not merely a training programme; it is an opportunity that can transform lives,” he maintained.
Rathnakar said women who successfully complete the course can gain livelihood opportunities as Tally professionals are in high demand.
In a significant announcement, the managing trustee declared that the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust will establish a permanent Skill Development Centre at Puttaparthi. The centre would provide continuous training, guidance, and pathways towards employment and self-employment for local youth and women, he stated.
Speaking on the occasion, R. Lakshmana Rao, state president of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations disclosed that they have trained around 20,000 youth during the past four years across the Andhra Pradesh in employment-oriented courses, such as computer skills, Tally with GST, AC repair, jute bag making, tailoring, beautician training, bedside assistance, Maggam work, fabric painting, and cell phone repair.
Lakshmana Rao said 23 permanent skill development centres are currently functioning across Andhra Pradesh. He announced that with the support of the Skill Development Corporation, healthcare-related courses would soon be introduced in six districts.
