Sports City, Sports University To Be Established In 2,500 Acres In Amaravati: Kollu Ravindra

Minister Kollu Ravindra said that a Sports City and Sports University would be established in 2,500 in Amaravati. Speaking at the valedictory of National Sports Day programme held at Tirupati, the minister said the CM was promoting prominent sportspersons to set up their Academies in Amaravati.
Land has been allocated for PV Sindhu, Pullela Gopichand, Kidambi Srikanth to set up their academies in Amaravati.

At the International Yoga Day held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Vizag, over 5 lakh people participated and created a world record. CM N. Chandrababu Naidu is working towards making AP 'a healthy, wealthy and happy state'.
Minister Ramprasad Reddy, who also participated in the programme, said that the government was determined to provide the best sports infrastructure that would suffice for the next 50 years. The state has been divided into three zones -- Vizag, Amaravati and Tirupati, for the development of sports. A sports manufacturing unit would be set up in 1,000 acres near Nellore for making sports goods. In Tirupati, auditoria with international standards and sporting arenas would be built in the allocated land.
Following the suggestion of education minister Nara Lokesh, grounds in all the ZPH schools would be developed with CSR funds to improve sporting talent among children in rural areas, he added.
