Amaravati: On the occasion of Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam (Telugu Language Day), on Saturday, a new educational app named Coolphabets was launched with the goal of helping children learn to read and write Indian languages, including Telugu. Announcing the launch, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recalled the famous words of the Vijayanagara king Sri Krishnadevarayalu - "Desa bhashalandu Telugu lessa" which means among all the languages of the land, Telugu is supreme, noting that the sentiment behind those words remains just as relevant today. He stressed that Telugu must not merely survive in everyday conversation but must stay vibrantly alive in written form, passed down through generations of readers and writers.

Speaking about the need for such an initiative, he observed that today's digital-first generation of children is growing increasingly distant from reading and handwriting in Telugu. He also emphasized that a love for the language and the script must be cultivated from early childhood if the Telugu lipi (script) is to continue shining in the hands of future generations.
“I congratulate Kollu Ranjith, Venkat Yeleti and their team. It is heartening that the app is being released on the occasion of Telugu Language Day. It is delightful that the app has been designed to examine children's handwriting with AI technology and provide necessary guidance. Technology should not distance us from our language... it should bring us closer. Our language, our script is the address of our culture, the identity of our Telugu community. I wish that our Telugu language should shine forever in future generations, the Chief Minister wrote in a message shared on social media.
