VIJAYAWADA: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) reportedly collected a blood sample of Vijayalakshmi, mother of Gade Sai Krishna, as part of its investigation into his alleged custodial death at Krishna Lanka police station.
The blood sample is being used for DNA profiling to match her DNA profile with suspicious samples seized by the police.
The SIT is awaiting forensic examination reports of various physical pieces of evidence collected so far and samples sent to laboratories.
The DNA profiling is expected to help the SIT establish whether any samples collected during the investigation were linked to Sai Krishna or his family.
