Performers Will Be Rewarded with Positions: Lokesh
Lokesh acknowledged past mistakes and promised to correct them, adding, “Even Chandrababu is willing to listen — leadership means being accountable.” He vowed to complete the temple and AMC committees by the end of July.
Nellore: Minister Nara Lokesh has made it clear that “only those who work for the party will be given positions,” and there’s no room for compromise on this norm.
Addressing a TD leaders’ meeting in Nellore, he emphasized the need for strengthening the cadres and ensuring regular outreach to the public every four months.
Lokesh acknowledged past mistakes and promised to correct them, adding, “Even Chandrababu is willing to listen — leadership means being accountable.” He vowed to complete the temple and AMC committees by the end of July.
He criticized the neglect of poor students due to the rise of corporate schools and said the TD's return to power was made possible by the sacrifices of thousands of workers. “Though in power, we must think like being in the opposition and stay grounded,” he said.
Lokesh urged party workers to take government achievements to the people, including the grant of facility for free bus travel for women and upcoming unemployment benefits. He highlighted the success of programmes like ‘Supaari Paalana – Tholi Adugu’ and stressed disciplined, door-to-door engagement.
Despite financial challenges, Lokesh said, “the government is fulfilling promises, such as depositing Rs 10,000 crore into mothers’ accounts with a single GO, and filling over 16,000 DSC teacher posts.”
He concluded by stressing unity and internal reform within the party, pledging to fight harder within the TDP than against any rival. Ministers Ponguru Narayana, NMD Farooq, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and others were present.
