Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday expressed confidence that the NDA government would remain in power in Andhra Pradesh for the next 15 years, asserting that it would be re-elected in the 2029 elections.

Speaking at the launch of Palle Panduga 2.0 at Sivakodu village in the Razole Assembly segment of Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district, he said the programme aimed to transform villages by strengthening infrastructure under the goal of Prathi Palleku Sadupayam – Prathi Kutumbaniki Soubhagyam.

He said the government would take up 53,382 development works worth Rs 6,787 crore across 13,326 gram panchayats, with every village set to emerge as a symbol of development with support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

As part of the initiative, 8,571 km of roads would be laid at a cost of Rs 5,838 crore. The plan also includes restoration of old roads, construction of 25,000 mini Gokulas costing ₹375 crore, 157 community Gokulas for `16 crore, and 58 km of drains for ₹4 crore. Pawan also announced additional funds of ₹100 crore for Konaseema’s development.

He criticised the previous YSR Congress government for neglecting development in the name of welfare and condemned its leaders for using abusive language. He warned of consequences if such behaviour continued.
