Minister Says AP Has Fulfilled 9 Demands of Anganwadi Workers
Minister underlined that the state government is prioritising the welfare of employees even while bearing the burden of the previous YSRC government’s debts
KAKINADA: Water Resources minister Nimmala Ramanaidu on Tuesday underlined that the state government has already fulfilled nine demands of the Anganwadi workers.
“For the first time in history, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has the credit of increasing the salaries of Anganwadi workers twice,” Ramanaidu pointed out.
In addition, he said the current TD-led government has appointed 5,000 new assistants and promoted mini workers to teacher status.
Laying foundation stones for development of roads costing ₹5.80 crore in Palakollu constituency, the minister pointed out that the alliance government is committed to the welfare of Anganwadis. He said it has provided 5G smartphones worth ₹75 crore to 58,204 Anganwadis in the state.
Ramanaidu said that the government has cleared dues of gratuity to the employees and paying salaries on the first date of every month to government employees. He underlined that the state government is prioritising the welfare of employees even while bearing the burden of the previous YSRC government’s debts.
