Over 15.000 Secretariat Employees Were Given Promotions: Dola

Minister Sri Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy affirmed that the government was committed to welfare of the Swarna village and ward secretariat employees.

Speaking to mediapersons, the minister criticized the previous government for appointing 1.24 lakh people without any service rules and neglecting them. Following directions from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said that the Secretariat system and employees services are being streamlined. A promotion channel has been prepared and promotions have been provided to over 15,000 employees, he said.

The minister said that permission has been given for six-year special grade increment. The government will have to bear a burden of Rs 150 crore due to this expenditure, he said. The government is implementing Automatic Advancement Scheme and faster sanction of casual leaves to employees. Grievance redressal programmes are being held on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the director and district levels. The goal of GO 11 is to provide better services to the public. He urged village and ward Secretariat staff to understand the decisions taken by the government and cooperate with the authorities in delivering better services to the public. The government is ready to resolve the employees' problems, he promised.

The coalition government has provided promotion channels, special grade increments and facility for leaves to the employees. He criticized the previous government for failing to take a decision on notional increment, and cadre changes.
