Vijayawada:National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) deputy CEO Abdul Khayoom lauded the work of the AP Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Board in cultivation, research and value-based services for medicinal plants.
Khayoom held a review meeting with officials from AYUSH and the AP forest department here on Saturday. He inspected the AP laboratory, herbal museum, nursery, seed storage facility and herbal garden and reviewed the plant inventory, cultivation practices and research material on plant diseases and remedies.

Later, Khayoom visited Rajamahendravaram and inspected the herbal garden, water plantation, value-added facilities and laboratories. He stressed the need to conserve medicinal plant resources and biodiversity in forests.
