Nellore: History-Sheeter Accused Of Matricide, Murdered Near RTO Office
In the past, Saiteja had brutally murdered his own mother. Against this background, Nellore police had booked him under the PD Act and sent him to jail.
Nellore: A rowdy sheeter was found brutally murdered near the RTO office in the town in the early hours of Sunday. On receiving information about the murder, DSPs Giridhar and G Srinivasa Rao reached the spot.
Police prima facie identified the man as Lakshmishetti Saiteja, who was bludgeoned to death with stones. They expressed suspicion over a rowdy sheeter from BV Nagar and several others would have been involved in the murder due to old enmity.
They also informed that Saiteja was an accused in several cases and was accused of brutally murdering his own mother. In this background, police had booked him under the PD Act and sent him to jail. He was recently released from jail, police said.
Police have registered a case and taken up an investigation and are examining the CCTV footage in the surrounding areas of the crime scene. The body was shifted to the district government hospital for post-mortem.
