Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh responded after a video of a young boy herding goats in Prakasam district went viral. He expressed deep distress over the incident and directed officials to protect the boy and act against those responsible.

A video of an 8-year-old boy named Ramayya herding goats near Rachavaripalem in Maddipadu Mandal, Prakasam district, went viral on a social media post where he was tagged seeking support to help the child, prompting the minister to respond immediately.

In the video, the boy was seen crying and in a desolate condition, asking to be taken home. When questioned why he was crying, the boy shared that he was not given food properly and that he was from Narrawada village in Nellore district.He also lamented that his mother be informed about his situation and that he be sent back home.

Nara Lokesh directed the Nellore District Collector to immediately reach out, verify the circumstances, and review the boy's situation. He asked that the child be kept safe and provided with all necessary care, protection, and support.
