Naidu To Distribute Pattadar Passbooks to 8,500 Farmers in Kondepi
Officials will submit a report on the proposed Narsingolu venue to the Chief Minister’s Office.
NELLORE: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit the Kondepi constituency on October 9 and distribute pattadar passbooks to around 8,500 farmers at Narsingolu as part of the state government’s ‘Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku’ programme.
Endowments and Ongole district in-charge minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, social welfare minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy and collector P. Rajababu on Monday inspected the proposed venues at Kalikivai, Bitragunta and Narsingolu for the Chief Minister’s visit.
Ramanarayana Reddy said the passbooks, bearing the state emblem, would provide greater security to farmers’ land rights. He said the government was giving priority to farmer welfare and organising programmes related to farmers on the 9th of every month.
Veeranjaneyaswamy said the government was committed to protecting farmers’ land rights and had already cleared nearly 4,000 acres of prohibited land in the district, including about 400 acres in Narsingolu. Pattadar passbooks had already been distributed to farmers covering thousands of acres, he said.
The final venue and detailed schedule for the Chief Minister’s visit are expected to be finalised in the next two to three days. Officials will submit a report on the proposed Narsingolu venue to the Chief Minister’s Office.
The ministers appealed to farmers and the public to participate in the programme.
Collector P. Rajababu, SP Harshavardhan Raju, joint collector Kalpana Kumari, RDO Chandrasekhar Naidu, MLAs Damacharla Janardhan Rao, Nageswara Rao, Vijay Kumar and Mukku Ugra Narasimha Reddy, Maritime Board chairman Damacharla Satya and other public representatives and officials participated.
