Naidu Thanks Modi, Nitin Gadkari for Kharagpur-Amaravati Highway Approval

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari following the approval of the 1107-km long Kharagpur-Amaravati greenfield highway.
The project includes a 457 km four-lane stretch passing through the southern state, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 32,000 crore.
The Chief Minister said the landmark project will establish a link between Andhra Pradesh and Eastern India. "On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and Hon'ble Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji for approving the 1,107 km Kharagpur – Amaravati corridor!" said Naidu in a post on X late on Sunday.
According to the CM, the corridor will slash logistics costs for Andhra's farmers and industry to accelerate greenfield capital city Amaravati's rise as a premier economic hub. Further, he noted that it will create new opportunities across trade, agriculture, manufacturing and employment.
