Naidu Lauds Teams for Rescuing Missing Fishermen

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the search teams for rescuing the seven missing fishermen from Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district and directed officials to make arrangements to bring them home safely.
The seven fishermen from Vodalarevu in Allavaram mandal had failed to return after venturing into the sea, following which Naidu directed the state administration to coordinate with the Centre and other agencies to launch a search operation.
The state administration held regular consultations with the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and Central Marine Wing and alerted them to the possibility of the stranded boat drifting towards West Bengal.
