Naidu Extends Greetings on Bhagirath Maharshi Jayanti

In a post on social media platform X, Naidu stated, “It is the duty of all of us to remember and revere the great sage who brought the Ganga to earth. Bhagirath’s efforts are a lasting inspiration for determination and achievement.”

Minister Nara Lokesh also conveyed his greetings, stressing that civilisations flourish where there is water. “The sacrifice and determination of Maharshi Bhagirath, who brought the Ganga to earth for the welfare of the people, stand as a symbol of our Indian tradition,” Lokesh said.

He added that the coalition government, inspired by Bhagirath’s legacy, has prioritised the irrigation sector and is committed to completing the Polavaram project. “Declaring Bhagirath Maharshi Jayanti as a state festival reflects our respect for cultural heritage,” he said.
