ANANTAPUR: Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav and Finance minister Payyavula Keshav inaugurated on Sunday the expanded 500-bed KIMS Saveera Hospital in Anantapur.

Satya Kumar underlined that the state government’s topmost priority is to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Rayalaseema. The expansion of KIMS Saveera Hospital into a 500-bed tertiary care centre, equipped with advanced radiation, surgical, and diagnostic oncology facilities, brings super-specialised medical care directly to the people of Anantapur and its surrounding areas

The decentralised quality healthcare facility will eliminate the stress and expense that people of the area go through when they have to travel to distant metro cities for critical care.
Payyavula Keshav said investing in high-quality healthcare infrastructure will directly uplift the socio-economic well-being of people in Anantapur district.
On the occasion, KIMS Saveera Hospital distributed 200 AI-powered spectacles, demonstrating how technology and healthcare can come together and enhance social inclusion.
Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, chairman and managing director of KIMS Group of Hospitals, said their endeavour has always been to ensure that world-class healthcare is accessible to every individual, right in their hometown.

“With the expansion of KIMS Saveera Hospital to a 500-bed facility and the launch of our advanced Oncology and Mother and Child blocks, we are bringing medical infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and expert care to Anantapur, which is truly on par with major metro hubs like Hyderabad and Bengaluru,” Dr. Bhaskar Rao underlined.

He said people of the region will no longer need to travel hundreds of kilometres for complex life-saving treatments.
