Mega DSC: 421 Posts For Sportspersons in AP

Vijayawada: The state government has announced 421 posts in government schools under the sports quota as part of the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment drive, with selection based solely on sports merit. No written test will be conducted, and certification by the senior sports department will determine eligibility.
Transport, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy released the notification on Wednesday at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) headquarters in IGMC Stadium, Vijayawada.
Of the 16,347 posts notified under Mega DSC-2025, 421 are reserved for sportspersons, including 333 in Government, ZP and MPP schools, and the rest across municipal, tribal welfare, residential, and model schools.
Eligible candidates can apply online from May 2 to May 31 at https://sports.ap.gov.in or https://sportsdsc.apcfss.in. The minister assured a transparent, merit-based process with penalties for forged certificates.
Reddy praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of sports-led development and acknowledged Minister Nara Lokesh's role in the initiative. He described the move as a historic opportunity for athletes to secure stable livelihoods.
