Madanapalle Police Raid Lady Don's House, Seize Documents of Encroached Land

Madanapalle police raided Koneti Sulochana, known as lady don, house in the town. Following search warrant orders issued by the court, the police, led by Madanapalle DSP Bucchi Babu, formed three teams and raided Sulochana and her borther Srinivasulu's houses.

Sulochana, in connivance with an aide of former minister, encroached several lands worth hundreds of crores.

During the raids, police seized 50 asset documents and 15 old unfilled bond papers with forged signatures.

In the investigation, it was found that she made the gullible believe of having taken loans from her and coerced them to sign on empty bond papers, which helped her claim ownership of their assets. The seized documents have been sent to the forensic science laboratory for comprehensive investigation.

Basing on a complaint lodged by the victim Marpu Venkatesh, Sulochana encroached 47 cents land, valued at Rs 10 crore, using a forged Power of Attorney document. Sulochana obtained the land papers as gift deed from a former minister's wife registered at the Madanapalle sub-registrar office. The registration was done on June 13, 2023.

Originally a farm labourer, she turned into a don with the help of a close associate of a former minister, under the YSRC rule. There are documents showing her ownership of a 502 square yards land at Bandakammameedapalle valuing up to Rs 60 crore, and 1.75 acre land at Ponnutipalyam.

During the raids, Sulochana was not present in the house. At present, she is in Vijayawada, police said.

The police gave the details of all the documents seized to her children.

Along with a rowdy sheet, there are 14 criminal cases lodged against Sulochana in the I and II Town police stations in Madanapalle.
