Godavari Tragedy: Bodies of Three Family Members Found
The deceased were identified as Srinivas (45), Eswar (16) and Nithyasri (15).
Tanuku: Three missing members of a family who jumped into the Godavari River early Saturday morning were found dead near Chinchinada. Their bodies were recovered from the river near Dindi in Sakhinetipalli mandal.
The deceased were identified as Srinivas (45), Eswar (16) and Nithyasri (15). The woman, who was rescued, was initially rushed to a government hospital in Razole and later shifted to the Government Hospital in Eluru. Her condition is said to be critical.
According to Yalamanchili police, the family, comprising a 45-year-old man, his wife and their two children aged 15 and 16, had travelled to the spot on two bikes. The family had been residing in Tanuku town for the past 20 years and was engaged in the milk business.
Yalamanchili police, led by Sub-Inspector M. Rajkumar, found a suicide note near the bikes. Rajkumar said preliminary inquiries indicated that financial troubles had prompted the family to take the extreme step.
