Lokeswari Unanimously Elected Adoni Civic Chief
The election followed the recent no-confidence motion passed against former chairperson Boya Santha on April 16. After her removal, Mulla Mohammad Ghouse, who was the vice chairman, served as the interim chairperson.
Kurnool: YSRC 42nd ward councillor Ch. Lokeswari was unanimously elected as the chairperson of Adoni Municipality in the election held on Monday. Sub-collector Mourya Bharadwaj announced the result after 36th ward councillor Sandeep Reddy proposed her name and 40th ward councillor Fayaz seconded it.

Following a directive from the state election officer on May 12, the schedule for electing a new chairperson was announced, with the notification released on May 15. The YSRC issued a whip to its members on Sunday to ensure unity in the election.
