Vijayawada: Education minister Nara Lokesh, who began setting a new political trend, hosted a dinner for the 3-party alliance’s public representatives and their families from the Chittoor and Anakapalli Parliamentary segments on Friday evening.

The minister, who is also the general secretary of the Telugu Desam organised the special gathering at his Undavalli residence, at which MPs, MLAs, MLCs participated along with their family members.

Lokesh personally received the guests at the entrance, warmly welcoming them and their family members. He interacted with the spouses and children and ensured that everyone felt at ease.

The evening unfolded in a relaxed, informal setting, with leaders cutting across ranks — from the Speaker and ministers to MPs and MLAs —bonding like members of one extended family.

Adding an administrative touch, Lokesh presented individual status reports to the public representatives, detailing the progress of petitions and development works they had submitted to him in the past.

As a token of goodwill, the minister gifted Mangalagiri silk saris to the women attendees. After the dinner, Lokesh personally escorted the guests up to the gate, bidding them farewell.

Among those present from the Chittoor segment were MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao; MLAs Gali Bhanu Prakash (Nagari), VM Thomas (GD Nellore), Gurajala Jagan Mohan (Chittoor), K. Murali Mohan (Puthalapattu), Pulivarthi Venkata Mani Prasad (Chandragiri); and MLC Kancherla Srikanth (Kuppam).

From the Anakapalli segment, the attendees included MP CM Ramesh (BJP); Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu (Narsipatnam); home minister Vangalapudi Anitha (Payakaraopeta); MLAs Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy (Madugula), KSNS Raju (Chodavaram), Konathala Ramakrishna (Jana Sena, Anakapalli), Panchakarla Ramesh Babu (Jana Sena, Pendurthi) and Sundarapu Vijay Kumar (Jana Sena, Elamanchili), all accompanied by their family members.

Lokesh had organised a similar get-together for another parliamentary segment a day ago. The initiative, party sources said, would be continued for other parliamentary segments as well, strengthening coordination within the coalition while reinforcing personal bonds among its leadership.
