Kurnool:Industries, commerce and food processing minister T.G. Bharath Gupta inaugurated a High Resolution Oesophageal Manometry equipment worth ₹29.30 lakh at the gastroenterology department of Kurnool Government General Hospital (GGH) on Wednesday.

The advanced equipment will help doctors accurately diagnose disorders of the food pipe, including swallowing difficulties and other oesophageal problems. It is expected to improve the diagnosis and management of patients suffering from such conditions.

Hospital authorities said the installation was a major step towards strengthening advanced medical facilities at the GGH. The facility will enable patients to undergo specialised diagnostic procedures at the government hospital without depending on private hospitals or travelling to other cities.

Officials said the availability of the equipment would help provide better healthcare services to people from Kurnool and neighbouring districts.
