Kakinada: Missing Toddler's Mother Pleads Against Negative Posts
In a video message, the mother said that remarks made by some people about her daughter’s disappearance were deeply painful. She requested people not to post negative comments and videos on social media.
Kakinada: The mother of the missing toddler from Tuni Rural Mandal on Monday expressed distress over negative comments being made about the disappearance of her child. A two-and-a-half-year-old girl, daughter of Sunkara Ganesh and Bhavani, who went missing from Ch. Agraharam hamlet in Dondavaka Panchayat is yet to be traced even after 10 days.
The child's mother, Bhavani, released a video message and said that remarks made by some people about her daughter’s disappearance were deeply painful. She requested people not to post negative comments and videos on social media without knowing the situation on the ground, saying it adds to their agony as they continue to wait for news.
“If you can’t help, at least pray for the child’s safe return and try to understand a mother’s agony,” she said, further adding that making comments while sitting in another place was inappropriate.
The case took a strange turn when the pet dog that reportedly followed the child into a 50-acre oil palm plantation on June 6 returned alone on June 9. To aid the search, police brought a GPS collar and fitted it on the dog on Friday, hoping it would lead them to the girl. But the dog died on Saturday due to dehydration.
As per Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan’s instructions, NDRF and HANUMAN teams, along with Kakinada police, are continuing efforts to trace the toddler while the family is holding onto hope for her safe return.
