JS Names Lingamaneni Ramesh as Its Rajya Sabha Nominee

The Jana Sena chief is said to have considered Lingamaneni’s long-standing commitment to the party while finalising his candidature for the Rajya Sabha.

Vijayawada:Jana Sena president and AP Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Friday announced the candidature of Lingamaneni Ramesh for the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh, reaffirming the party’s commitment to recognising loyalty, dedication, and ideological commitment beyond considerations of caste and religion.

Incidentally, Ramesh has been associated with the Jana Sena and its president since 2015. According to sources, Lingamaneni is scheduled to file his nomination papers on Saturday afternoon.

According to party sources, Ramesh has stood firmly with Jana Sena through various political setbacks, including the adverse electoral outcome of the 2019 assembly elections. Despite pressures and difficulties, he continued to express unwavering faith in the party’s principles and in the leadership of Pawan Kalyan.

The Jana Sena chief is said to have considered Lingamaneni’s long-standing commitment to the party while finalising his candidature for the Rajya Sabha.




JS leadership has maintained that opportunities have been provided to party leaders based on their merit, commitment, and perseverance, without regard to caste or religious affiliations.

Lingamaneni Ramesh has expressed his gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for reposing confidence and selecting him as the party’s candidate for the Upper House of Parliament. He said he viewed the nomination not as a position of prestige but as a significant responsibility entrusted to him by the Jana Sena leadership.

Ramesh went on to extend his special thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for supporting his candidature on behalf of the ruling coalition.
