Revenue Inspector Caught With ₹7.12 cr Disproportionate Assets

The ACB officials obtained four search warrants against the accused officer from the special judge for trial of SPE and ACB cases, Rajamahendravaram on Thursday

KAKINADA: ACB sleuths conducted raids on the houses of senior assistant/mandal revenue inspector Chodapureddy Siva Ram Kumar (36), presently working at admin-5, incharge record room at district collector’s office, on Friday and found disproportionate assets worth ₹7,12,90,180 and 780 grams of gold ornaments.

The ACB officials obtained four search warrants against the accused officer from the special judge for trial of SPE and ACB cases, Rajamahendravaram on Thursday and conducted raids at the places like SRMT Apartments in Kakinada, collector’s office, Satyavathi Heights at Cheediga village in Kakinada Rural mandal and residential premises of Chintala Srinivasan of Tilak Street (father-in-law of accused officer). The officials said that they found immovable properties like a three-bedroom flat in A Block in SRMT apartments at Kakinada worth ₹1,24,14,500, A four-bedroom flat in SRMT Apartments worth ₹1,77,62,600 in the name of his wife; and a three-bedroom flat in Viva City Apartments at Kondapur village in Serilingampally mandal of Rangareddy district in Telangana in the name of accused officer Siva Ram Kumar and his wife. An agricultural land of 1.082 acres in Kotapadu village in Rangampeta mandal worth ₹18.40 lakh in the name of his wife; agricultural land of 0.543 cents in Kotapadu village in the name of his wife; and a vacant site to an extent of 375 square yards at Ramaraopet in Kakinada worth ₹1.20 crore. Movable properties like three cars worth ₹98.73 lakh, gold ornaments weighing about 700 grams, cash of ₹20,000, household articles worth ₹2,712,800 and electronic gadgets like a mobile phone and laptop worth ₹3.20 lakh. The officials said that searches are in progress.
