JS Leader Accuses Town Planning Director of Irregularities
Murthy Yadav said accordingly a Vigilance and Enforcement Committee inquired into the issue and submitted a report on April 20 confirming the irregularities
Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena leader Peethala Murthy Yadav on Friday accused Municipal Administration and Urban Development director (Town Planning) R.J. Vidyullatha of irregularities, scams, and vendettas.
Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam, he charged that during the previous YSRC regime, the official sanctioned illegal Transferable Development Rights (TDRs) involving hundreds of crores. At the time, the NDA coalition leaders had promised an inquiry against Vidyullatha once they formed the government.
Murthy Yadav said accordingly a Vigilance and Enforcement Committee inquired into the issue and submitted a report on April 20 confirming the irregularities. However, no action has been taken against her yet, he underlined, alleging that the officer continues to exercise influence under the NDA coalition government and escape consequences.
The JS leader went on to charge that Vidyullatha had sanctioned fraudulent TDRs in Kakinada worth ₹500 crore against government land and ₹168 crore in the Suresh Nagar project of former YSRC MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana. He emphasised that Satyanarayana is now using these TDRs to construct the controversial CBCNC site in Visakhapatnam.
Murthy Yadav demanded that the state government take immediate disciplinary action against the official and others involved in the scam, including former MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy and ex-municipal commissioner Naga Maheswara Rao.
He went on to further Vidyullatha of demolishing buildings belonging to then opposition leaders, such as Palla Srinivasa Rao and Pilla Govinda, and even parts of GITAM University.
The JS leader went on to link the official with multiple controversies, including scams in Tanuku and Tirupati, and the Erramatti Dibbalu case in Visakhapatnam.
