J.P. Nadda Praises TD-Led Alliance, Details Centre's Support for AP's Growth

Visakhapatnam: BJP national president and Union minister J.P. Nadda has praised the developmental push in Andhra Pradesh under the TD-led alliance government.
Addressing a public meeting at the railway grounds here, he highlighted the Centre’s commitment to supporting the state across various sectors like infrastructure, education, healthcare and industry.
“Prime Minister Naredra Modi is focused on the growth of Andhra Pradesh and is supporting AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts,” he said.
Nadda highlighted several projects, including the construction of the 9,000km of national highways and rural roads that would pass through 3,300 villages. The modernization of ports in Kakinada and Visakhapatnam, along with the start of fish landing centres, was also mentioned.
He promised central support to make AP an education hub, backing institutions such as IIPE, NIT, CU, IIM, IINT and a tribal university. He also noted that airports in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Kadapa, Kurnool and Tirupati were being developed, with also a`652 crore allocation for the Bhogapuram airport. Seventeen new medical colleges have been established, benefiting 20 crore people through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, he said.
Nadda noted that a new railway zone has been created in Visakhapatnam. He also mentioned the approval of green hydrogen projects worth Rs 1.85 lakh crore in Pudimadaka and Rs 2,000 crore in Nakkapalli, along with a Rs 4,800 crore semiconductor unit.
The BJP chief urged his party workers to raise awareness about the contributions of the central government for AP’s development.
State BJP president P.V.N. Madhav cited the “success” of the Sarathyam yatra that covered all districts and “strengthened” the party. He said GST reforms have led to a cut in prices and called on party activists to raise the BJP flag in every village.
Union minister B.R. Srinivasa Raju said the Centre allocated Rs 11,440 crore to the Visakhapatnam steel plant. He also mentioned ArcelorMittal’s Rs 1.35 crore investment in Nakkapalli.
State health minister Satyakumar Yadav hailed the state government’s Super Six schemes, particularly the free bus service for women.
