ANANTAPUR: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) organised a Mega Academic Leadership Meet at the Aryabhatta Auditorium on Saturday as part of preparations for the Innovators Conclave 2026, scheduled for October 24 and 25.
JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Sudarsana Rao called upon educational institutions to provide students with opportunities to develop problem-solving, innovation, entrepreneurship, technological and leadership skills.
He stressed the need to identify real-life challenges, encourage innovative solutions and provide students with mentoring, institutional support and exposure to industry and experts.
JNTUA Registrar Prof. B. Durga Prasad urged institutions to work together to identify talented students and innovative teams and facilitate their participation in the conclave.
He said the event should be viewed as a platform for building a long-term ecosystem for innovation, entrepreneurship, mentoring and industry collaboration rather than merely a two-day programme.
Ether Wing Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. founder and CEO Sarmas Vali outlined the conclave’s programmes and participation opportunities. The event will feature a 36-hour hackathon with a proposed ₹9-lakh prize pool, a startup expo, a school innovation expo for Classes 6-10, mentorship tracks involving more than 50 mentors and a pitch floor for startups.
The conclave will focus on deeptech, agritech, healthtech, edtech, AI/ML, sustainability, smart cities, aerospace and defence technology, and student innovation. Proposed seed-funding opportunities of more than ₹1.2 crore were also highlighted.
