Jagan Reddy said there was strong public resentment against the “backstabbing alliance government” and no section of society was happy under Chandrababu Naidu’s rule.

Vijayawada:YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon its leaders and activists to work with an aim of ensuring a massive victory for the party in the upcoming local body polls.

Addressing local body leaders and activists from Rajahmundry Rural assembly constituency at Tadepalli on Wednesday, he asked the party’s rank and file to work with commitment and victory as the sole objective.

The alliance government, he said, is failing on all fronts. All sections of the people were feeling cheated and the law and order situation was deteriorating.

Jagan Reddy said there was strong public resentment against the “backstabbing alliance government” and no section of society was happy under Chandrababu Naidu’s rule. The alliance government might try to misuse the police to subvert the people’s will in the local body elections, he cautioned his partymen, and advised them to be ready to face every challenge and fight with determination.

The former chief minister announced that he would begin his padayatra next year and that the general elections would follow. He sounded confident that the YSRC would emerge victorious.

He asked the party leaders, local representatives and activists to remain in constant touch with the people and stand by them on every issue and work with full commitment to ensure victory for the YSRC in the local body polls.
