ICAI Allotted Site for a Building in Anantapur

ANANTAPUR: Following directives of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, officials have allotted the existing sericulture farm near the Collectorate in Anantapur for constructing a new building of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Collector O. Anand, along with officials of the district administration, AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and representatives of ICAI, inspected the site near the Sericulture department office on the JNTU Main Road on Wednesday. Officials discussed the suitability of the site and infrastructure requirements for the proposed ICAI building.

Officials said once completed, the building would promote professional education, skill development, and financial and professional services in the city, besides strengthening the ecosystem for commerce and industry.

Those present included APIIC zonal manager Nagakumar, deputy zonal manager Devakanthamma, and APIIC director Lakshmi Prasad.

Collector Anand directed officials to take the necessary steps to facilitate the ICAI building project.

He later inspected the construction of the Flatted Factory Complex (FFC) nearby and reviewed the progress of its works. APIIC officials said the FFC is being developed with modern industrial infrastructure to meet the requirements of small and micro entrepreneurs.

Once completed, the FFC facility would provide improved industrial infrastructure and workspace for small-scale entrepreneurs in Anantapur.
