HC Serves Notices to AP to File Counters on Dismissal of Venkata Rami Reddy

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued notices to the state government seeking counter-affidavits with full details in the matter relating to the dismissal of Kakarala Venkata Rami Reddy, former president of the AP Secretariat Employees Union and assistant secretary in the panchayat raj and rural development department.
A single judge bench headed by Justice D. Ramesh heard a petition on Thursday filed by Rami Reddy challenging his dismissal from government service and the GO dated April 20 placing him under suspension.
The petitioner’s counsel V. Maheswar Reddy submitted that the dismissal was issued on charges of violation of service rules on the allegation that he acted in support of the YSRC.
After hearing both sides, the court adjourned the matter to June for the next hearing.
