Gudur: Teacher, Eight Students Injured In Auto-Rickshaw Collision
A teacher and eight Class X students were injured when their auto-rickshaw collided with a mini truck during an industrial tour in TP Gudur.
A junior lecturer and eight Class X students of a Gurukul school at Thotapalli Gudur sustained minor injuries when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling in collided with a mini truck at Mahalakshmipuram in TP Gudur mandal on Thursday.
The students were on their way to the village secretariat at Koduru as part of an industrial tour when the accident occurred.
The teacher, M. Anuradha, suffered an injury to her hand, while three students sustained bleeding injuries. The injured students were shifted to a hospital for treatment and their condition was stated to be stable.
TP Gudur sub-inspector K. Gopi said all the injured students were Class X students and blamed the autorickshaw driver for the accident. A case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
