First Flight Lands at Bhogapuram Airport, Passengers Greeted With Etikoppaka Toys
As a special gesture, passengers were presented with traditional Etikoppaka toys as a token of remembrance. The first flight from Bhogapuram to Hyderabad departed at around 7:30 am.
Bhogapuram: Commercial flight operations started at the new Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram. Air passengers arrived at the ASR International Airport in Bhogapuram after the first flight from Hyderabad landed in Vizianagaram district on Monday morning.
An IndiGo flight 6E 6408 from Hyderabad landed at Bhogapuram Airport at around 6:45 am on Monday. GMR officials, district authorities and airport staff welcomed the flight and its passengers.

IndiGo flights from Bhogapuram to Hyderabad and Bengaluru are scheduled to depart shortly. A flight from Bengaluru is also expected to arrive at Bhogapuram Airport shortly. Twenty electric buses have been arranged to operate between Visakhapatnam and Bhogapuram.
Meanwhile, civil flight operations at Visakhapatnam Airport have concluded as the city’s commercial air services shifted to newly inaugurated Bhogapuram Airport.
