Film Producers Seek Relief For Theatre Owners
Single-screen theatres were suffering heavy losses due to rising operational and maintenance costs.

KAKINADA: A delegation of film producers on Tuesday met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in Rajamahendravaram and urged him to address the problems being faced by single-screen theatre owners.
The producers, including Ravi, Satish, S. Naga Vamsi and Sahu Garapati, said single-screen theatres were suffering heavy losses due to rising operational and maintenance costs.
They appealed to the Deputy Chief Minister to provide subsidies on power charges and extend support to help sustain single-screen theatres in the State.
Tourism and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh, Civil Supplies Corporation Minister Nadendla Manohar and others were also present.
