Dr Surya Rao Invited to Judge National Medical Meet
The organising committee said his selection recognised his contributions to medical education, research and public health.
Visakhapatnam:Padma Shri awardee Dr Kootikuppala Surya Rao has been invited to judge scientific research presentations at the 66th Annual Conference and Convocation of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMSCON 2026), to be held from October 9 to 11 at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu.
A Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Dr Surya Rao will evaluate research papers and presentations by medical professionals, academicians and researchers from India and abroad.
He received the Padma Shri in 2008 and entered the Guinness World Records in 2009 for his HIV/AIDS awareness initiatives. The World Health Organisation has appreciated his work in preventing healthcare-associated infections.
