Cordon and Search Operation in Guntur: 77 Motorbikes, 1 Autorickshaw Confiscated
Vijayawada: Residents of Nalla Cheruvu in Guntur City experienced a tense Sunday as police conducted a cordon and search operation. Led by superintendent of police (SP) S. Satish Kumar, the operation involved a large team, including additional SP K. Supraja, and DSPs Azeez, Jayaram Prasada, and Shivaji, alongside Circle Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors.
The police searched residences of old offenders and suspicious individuals, verifying around 300 vehicles and recording the fingerprints of 70 persons using the Trinetra app and mobile scanners. A total of 77 motorbikes and one auto rickshaw were seized due to lack of proper documents. Among these, 22 vehicles were taken to the police station, with owners instructed to present original documents for retrieval.
Kumar stated the operation aimed to curb anti-social activities in the area and warned of strict action against offenders.
