Collector S. Venkateswar Inspects EVM Strong Rooms in Tirupati

 Nellore: Tirupati district collector and district election officer Dr S. Venkateswar inspected the EVM strong room and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) godown at Renigunta on Wednesday as part of the Election Commission’s quarterly inspection.

The collector reviewed the security arrangements, including 24x7 surveillance, CCTV cameras and sealing procedures, and inspected the stored Ballot Units (BUs), Control Units (CUs) and VVPAT machines.

He directed officials to maintain foolproof security and round-the-clock monitoring of the EVM storage facility. He also inspected the relevant records and signed the EVM godown register.

Election cell officials and other concerned staff accompanied the collector during the inspection.
