Visakhapatnam city’s civic administration is making hectic efforts to spruce up the city, particularly the beach road from Coastal Battery to Visakha Museum. “An amount of ₹19 crore is being spent for the beautification of the city,” an official of the GVMC said.
Key areas, like R.K. Beach, are being revamped with improved lighting, greenery, and road repairs. In addition, large-scale painting works, installation of artefacts, development and repair of footpaths and beautification of central medians are being carried out.
As the delegates will be visiting popular places, tourist destinations and museums are being spruced up.
The entire beach road is being brought under CCTV surveillance, a police officer said.
