Citizens in Andhra Pradesh can now download copies of previously issued caste certificates through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform, eliminating the need to visit government offices, RTGS officials said.

The Real Time Governance (RTGS) has introduced the “Re-Issuance of Integrated Certificates” service under Revenue Services. The facility enables citizens who have already been issued caste certificates to obtain PDF copies whenever required.

To access the service, citizens have to send “Hi” to 9552300009 on WhatsApp and select “Select Service”, followed by “Revenue Services” and “Re-Issuance of Integrated Certificates”. They have to enter their Aadhaar number and complete OTP verification before reviewing their Aadhaar demographic details.

After confirming the details, applicants have to pay the prescribed `40 fee through the payment gateway available on WhatsApp. The caste certificate will then be generated as a PDF for download and can be printed as required.

The facility is intended to reduce repeated visits to Revenue Offices, Swarna Grama-Swarna Ward Secretariats and MeeSeva centres for copies of certificates already issued.

RTGS officials clarified that the service is currently available only to citizens whose caste certificates have already been issued. The facility to apply for and obtain new caste certificates through Mana Mitra will be introduced shortly.
