The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised a Seva Jyothi Yatra in Tirupati on Wednesday as part of the party’s Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan.

Party leaders, workers and youth gathered at TMR Kalyana Mandapam to watch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s live address before BJYM members took out a rally to Leela Mahal Circle.

Addressing the gathering, Adoni MLA Parthasarathi said youth had a key role in building a new India. He said the country was progressing under the leadership of Modi and appreciated the Tirupati BJYM leaders and workers for promoting public service through the yatra.

BJP Tirupati district president Samanachi Srinivas said politics should not be viewed merely as a means to gain power but as an opportunity to serve people. He said the Prime Minister’s leadership and vision had been guiding the youth and called upon them to take an active role in social service.

He urged the youth to work for the welfare of poor and weaker sections and contribute to nation building by following the path shown by the Prime Minister.

BJP district and city-level leaders, mandal presidents, morcha representatives and BJYM members participated in the programme.
