The Andhra University Alumni Association of North America (AUAA-NA) celebrated the university’s centenary in Texas on October 10, bringing together around 200 prominent alumni from western and central regions of the United States for a 12-hour programme.

The event featured academic and panel discussions, alumni interactions, success stories, awards for distinguished graduates and cultural programmes, marking the university’s 100-year journey since its establishment in 1926.
Dr Phaneendra Kondapi recalled the establishment of the Houston alumni association in 2005, while Dr Sai Rachakonda highlighted the significance of the centenary and the university’s future.
Raja Sekhar outlined ongoing development initiatives and urged alumni to support teaching and research, build partnerships with American universities, mentor students and young faculty, and establish endowments to strengthen the university’s academic priorities.
