APSSDC To Hold Job Mela In Gudivada On Aug. 5

The recruitment drive will be held from 9 am at the REDSUN Foundation, Muggu Bazaar Centre, Old Current Office Road, Gudivada.

District Skill Development Officer Dr P. Naresh Kumar said 11 companies, including Princeton IT Services, Aditya Birla Capital, Varun Motors, UNO Minda Ltd, Tata Electronics, Muthoot Money Ltd, Mukku Financial Consulting Pvt. Ltd, Apollo Pharmacy, Adecco, Bajaj Finserv and AU Small Finance Bank, will participate in the recruitment drive.

Candidates who have completed Class X, Intermediate, ITI, Diploma, Degree or Pharmacy courses and are aged between 18 and 35 years are eligible to attend.

Applicants have been advised to register in advance through the APSSDC portal and bring their résumé or biodata, Aadhaar card, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, PAN card and photocopies of educational certificates.

Atchannaidu Tells Officials To Ensure Water, Fertiliser Supply For Kharif

VISAKHAPATNAM: Agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu has directed irrigation and agriculture officials to ensure an uninterrupted supply of irrigation water and fertilisers so that farmers do not face hardship during the ongoing Kharif season.

Reviewing Kharif preparedness, the minister said the coalition government accords top priority to farmers' welfare and asked officials to discharge their responsibilities with accountability.

He stressed that tail-end ayacut areas should receive priority in water distribution and expressed concern over reports of negligence in some regions. He instructed officials to strengthen field-level monitoring and ensure irrigation water reaches every farmer on time.

Officials informed the minister that water was being released based on farmers' indents and canal-wise distribution was being monitored. However, Atchannaidu directed them to verify implementation on the ground rather than relying solely on reports.

The minister also instructed agriculture officials to maintain an adequate supply of fertilisers during the peak cultivation period and ensure transparent distribution. He warned that illegal stocking, artificial scarcity and the sale of fertilisers at inflated prices would not be tolerated.

Atchannaidu asked irrigation and agriculture departments to work in close coordination, review the situation regularly and resolve farmers' grievances without delay. He reiterated that the government remained committed to providing all necessary support for a successful Kharif season.
