APSRTC to Run 435 Special Buses in Tirupati Region for Maha Shivaratri
Booking counters will function at key locations such as Mukkoti and Kapilatheertham
Nellore: Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will operate 435 special bus services across the Tirupati region from February 14 to February 16 for Maha Shivaratri for devotees visiting major Shiva temples in Chittoor and Annamayya districts.
In a statement on Friday, the RTC said special bus services will connect prominent shrines, including in Srikalahasti, Talakona, Kapilatheertham, Gudimallam, Mogili, Sangam, Punganur, Puttur, Sadasivakona, Kailasakona, Moolakona, Gundalakona and other Shaivite destinations.
In addition, 293 special buses have been arranged across seven key depots in Chittoor and Annamayya districts. Depot-wise allocation includes: Srikalahasti (140), Puttur (78), Mogili (25), Gudimallam (23), Tirupati (12), Rajampet (8), Sangam (5) and Punganur (2). Major routes include Srikalahasti-Tirupati, Tirupati-Talakona, Puttur-Sadasivakona, Puttur-Kailasakona and Rajampet-Gundalakona.
Booking counters will function at key locations such as Mukkoti and Kapilatheertham. More than 50 additional buses have been kept on standby to meet any additional demand. Devotees have been asked to prioritise special RTC services over private vehicles for a safe and trouble-free pilgrimage during Maha Shivaratri.
